Coates International Ltd. (CIL)

Coates International Ltd. (CIL), a fully reporting public company with over 1200 shareholders, was organized on the 22nd of December 1987, reorganized in 1991, and exists under and by virtue of the General Corporation Law of the State of Delaware, USA.

CIL has been in research and development for approximately fifteen years on the Coates Spherical Rotary Valve (CSRV) System, which is patented worldwide. The research and development phase is now complete, and CIL is gearing up for production and distribution of its CSRV-powered engines.

These CSRV engines are capable of running on a number of different fuels, such as gasoline, natural gas, methanol, ethanol, hydrogen and diesel. Oil changes are extended to approximately 50,000 miles instead of every 3,000 miles; and in some cases oil changes are not necessary. Maintenance is drastically reduced. There is increased power and torque, reduced fuel consumption and dramatically reduced emissions. Management believes the CSRV engine will lower United States' dependency on imported oil and fuels and believes it to be the engine of the future.

CIL has sold a License to a Canadian oil and gas company and has developed a natural gas fueled industrial engine for this company. This company issued a Letter of Intent to purchase a large number of Coates natural gas generator systems.

CIL's Research and Development facility is 30,000 sq. ft., made of concrete and steel and situated on 6.5 acres of land.

CIL has exclusive rights to numerous highly valuable patents (eighteen in USA and over one hundred worldwide) for combustion engines and new technologies relating to combustion engines. CIL is also negotiating the rights to patents on a steam turbine engine valve and a self adjusting wheel bearing.
